Mixed Reality

Mixed reality goes beyond AR by anchoring persistent digital objects into the real world that users can interact with naturally. We build MR applications for complex use cases: assembly guidance on manufacturing lines, surgical planning overlays, remote expert assistance, and spatial collaboration tools, using Microsoft HoloLens 2 and emerging MR hardware.

Mixed Reality Frequently Asked Questions

What is the difference between mixed reality and augmented reality?

Basic AR overlays a 2D digital layer onto a camera view. Mixed reality uses spatial computing to anchor persistent 3D digital objects into the physical environment so they understand and interact with it digital instructions that rest on a physical component, stay aligned as the worker moves, and respond to changes in the physical environment. HoloLens 2 is the leading enterprise MR device.

How much does a mixed reality enterprise application cost?

MR projects typically start from AED 200,000 for a focused single-use-case application. Multi-use-case enterprise deployments are scoped over a discovery phase. Hardware costs (HoloLens 2 is approximately AED 15,000 per headset) are separate. We recommend a proof-of-concept phase 8–12 weeks, one use case, agreed success criteria before committing to a full rollout.

Can an MR application integrate with SAP or other enterprise systems?

Yes integration with ERP, CAD, IoT, and operational data systems is a core part of enterprise MR development. The HoloLens 2 assembly guidance system we built for an automotive manufacturer integrates with SAP production orders in real time, updating holographic instructions automatically when specifications change.
